Goodbye Xavier Dolls

Agent Xavier Dolls was the first major casualty of WE's third season.

Of all it was perhaps the most unexpected (apart from the Earp sisters) perhaps because we always admit Dolls as a relentless agent. His death, however, is mysterious. We witnessed a heroic fight between Dolls and Bulchar's jackal to save, not the Earp heiress, but Nicole Haught. Season two ended with the indecipherable look enigmatic between the two, almost dismissing words. Although they have never worked directly Dolls has always had Nicole Haught in high regard (see, for example, the episode 2x10 "I see a Darkness" where Dolls motivates Waverly to betray her sister to save Nicole, or the availability of the Bulchar dossier on 2x12 "I hope you can dance"), and therefore doubts arise as to the antecedents that bind them. There are few doubts that Dolls and Haught know each other and that have joined in Purgatory with a specific objective. It is curious that both have emotionally captured the sisters, and this domain may mean a superior plan to the town of Purgatory itself. Bulchar emerges as the central theme in the first two episodes of season 3, and with it an unknown past from the police officer, but something so deeply marked that it leads vaguely remember an episode of his childhood that involves the violent and bloody cult of Bulchar. But is it real? What if Dolls arrives to Purgatory to control the forces of evil, namely those that stand in the Ghost River Triangle announcing the arrival of Bulchar?

Bulchar as architect of the Curse of the Earp plans something truly Machiavellian for ultimate revenge.

What if Nicole Haught is actually Bulchar's great-granddaughter?

What if Dolls was aware of this plan and tried to prevent the tragedy from happening.

What if Nicole's design on Purgatory is revenge against the Earp sisters?

Dolls had met Nicole, and he knows her past well.

Consciously or unconsciously Nicole knows this.

Propositioned or not, Nicole caused the death of Dolls.

Don't understand, however why Dolls was so protetive to Nicole.
